This is where our team of experienced chefs get to unleash their passion.
The board changes daily to reflect the season and the seasonal produce of our suppliers. Our meals are all home cooked and freshly prepared on the premises.
We believe in using quality ingredients and imagination to bring the best, most flavoursome pub food to the table.
All of our meat is free range as are our locally laid eggs.
SUN 12 – 5pm
For a Sunday think delicious, home-style, traditional Sunday roasts (think lashings of gravy and giant Yorkshire puddings) plus some sandwiches, smaller meals, a full kids menu and a desserts board packed with delicious homemade puddings and local icecream.
Our Sunday roast meats are all free range and locally sourced from Holmansbridge farm, Lewes.
Although the menu is subject to change, we roast four meats as standard (roasted pork loin, free range chicken off the bone, slow braised top rump of beef and roasted leg of salt marsh lamb).
Our meals come with a giant yorkie, herby roast potatoes, honey roasted carrots and parsnips, buttered greens and cheesy cauliflower and leek. We start the day with four different vegetarian roast dinner options, two of which are vegan.
We cook the vegan side dishes separately for maximum freshness.
